Material Management

The purpose of the Material Management module is to maintain and organize a list of all materials. Details include material type and category.

Note: The Material Management module and the Material Section of the Aggregate Sources module share a common data source and changes in status will show in both places.

• Open the Material Management module.
• If you intend to create a new type using a new category, create the material category before creating the material type, first click the Add Material Category button (1)
  
• Then type a name for the material category (2) and click save (3).
  
• To add a new material type, first click the Add Material Type button (1)
  
• Then select the category from the drop down (2), type a name for the material type (3), select the status from the drop down (4), select the link to entry from the drop down(5) and click save (6).
  

• Click the Edit button (1) then change any of the material type or material category information (2) and click save (3).
  
  
• Click the Delete button (1) to remove a material type and material category.
